Study guitar (classical, acoustic, electric), bass, ukulele, bouzouki, oud or mandolin with Steve in his studio in Springfield, NJ. If you live elsewhere we can arrange lessons via Skype or Facetime. It works great! You don’t have to leave your house (or your country!).

Steve has been teaching me classical guitar for almost three years now. Our focus has been on the subtleties of technique, understanding theory and “patiently” pushing the boundaries of my skill. My abilities are limited but when I compare the level at which I began learning this instrument to the level I have achieved currently I’m amazed. It was very difficult to find someone in my area to teach classical guitar and although I can’t compare him with anyone else – I know I have improved tremendously through his understanding and capacity to teach. Steve’s guidance and enthusiasm have kept my frustration at bay and kept me engaged and given me the opportunity to improve.
I have known Steve for over ten years; he was one of my first guitar professors at the County College of Morris, and later I studied with him privately for Grad School preparations. Steve is a master of his craft, and extremely gifted multi-instrumentalist. His knowledge and experience allow him to offer first-rate tuition akin to any University or Conservatory. I studied classical guitar and some composition with him. Steve always demonstrated kindness, but was also very (helpfully) honest. He was always encouraging, and made me feel that what I was trying to achieve was very possible. I made leaps and bounds of progress while studying with Steve. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
